Dark, Heavy & depressing.
At first I was excited to watch a movie about cats because I love cats! I have read Warrior Cats (a series about cats that form clans, ect) it has animal death, but unlike the movie, it has wholesome, romance, adventure, prophecies, and so much more!
This on the other hand is just dark heavy and I left three quarters into the movie to write this review! I am not impressed. The characters were weak, and that scene where she didnโt let the cat in, that was CRUELTY. it could have died. It also bothers me how she let it slip out ALL. THE. TIME!
It doesnโt do anything just yelling its name out. She didnโt deserve him.
All the unnecessary death in the movie was also depressing. Blundering through the woods like a wild badger wonโt find a cat! When the pig was chasing her, she should have climbed a large tree, she could have died, but she didnโt have to sacrifice its life. I would say the animals were better actors than the people in some scenes.
I have to admit, the cats (and other animals) were cute, and well behaved, but that doesnโt change the script, or my thoughts on the film, (at least barely. I might be judging it a little too much, but I really disliked it.
For a movie-WITH CATS-my favourite animal I am really disappointed. I donโt know why there are five star reviews. This isnโt underrated. There was no bond between her and the cat, she thought it was cute, so she kept it inside, basically jail to a cat. And when the cat LEFT her it just goes to show the cat would be better off without her.
