The Marxist dream. To write poetry and farm for one's self in harmony with nature. Truly grotesque visualisation of the other side of the Nazi story.

The Zone of Interest

A poorly delivered yet good looking mix of Farscape, 300, Star Wars and Dune. Maria Sten or similarly physically faster females that would have been cheap hires likely could have been more suitable as lead actor. This may have been a superior choice over the films lead, who struggles to either deliver the woke stronger and faster than a man theme, or the moody non binary gen z prodigy thing. The film has odd fight scenes. Where seemingly...in real time...a slow motion section of the action is acted...rather than slow mo'd in post production. Its like watching a live stage version of the matrix with high school student levels of talent, and budget. Very odd to watch. It gets 2 stars for at least looking attractive and has a few interesting visuals. But the director that films using cinematography of a Netflix series is ultimately going to struggle delivering a good film. These new directors simply need to speak to Paul Verhoven or Ridley Scott. It's cheap to add in some overlay post production so the movie doesn't look like a Rizzoli and Isles episode in HD. Highlights of the film for comedy are the various adult themed space transits, a comical Irish accent, and the East germanic dressed enemy leader getting fruity with some worm's in a hot tub after chest smoking some steam. Not forgetting the beaver makeup Gen Z screaming like trump just got re elected while a suppository shaped space ship crashes...all slow motion 😂

Its tough to watch. Gripping. A mess of script and noise, fast paced addict drama. Displays utter degeneracy and a lack of moral compass with the overlay of money and glamour at times, quite stylish. I recommend watching this film when you have some time to calm down afterwards. Its not a film I can re watch regularly because of the attack on the senses. But it is a fantastic film everyone should see. I haven't given it a 5 out of 5 because I think the film would have acheived more by a reduction in overall verbal noise and nonsense in the script at times. The madness can still be portrayed without feeling like you are at a music festival and the sound system failed and all you can hear is unidentifiable high volume conversation.
