I have worked in social services for over 10 years and I will say that this book has been one of the best I have read and seen for children that have been the victim of physical abuse. The story allows the character, Klaus, to explain abuse in a way that is helpful for a child that may be going through this same situation and not even realize this is happening or know what to do or who to go to as their "safe person".
This book should be at every library or educational resource office available to children.
