Honestly, the drama for dramas sake. And having teenagers willy nilly hack into obviously SHA-256 encryption. Can somewhat be overlooked. But the decision making and everything is so insane. And the lack of security is so dumb it can't be overlooked. Poor writing. Good acting.

Terribly, written. They didn't even try to make the military even believable. I only could take an episode and a half. Outside the military the show was decently written. They should've started after everything collapsed instead.
