BookMyShow wouldn’t let me post this since I didn’t buy tickets through their app — but I spent my money regardless, so here’s my rant.
Let me start with what’s good (because there isn’t much of it):
1.
The songs are absolute bangers — you’ll definitely find yourself listening to some of them on repeat.
2.
The last 10–15% of the movie (eh, probably… at least in my personal opinion; you may beg to differ).
As for the rest of the movie — honestly, a total cringe fest. The dialogues feel awkward, the plot feels forced… I mean, who approved that script?
No complaints about the acting though — Sonam, Harshvardhan, and everyone else did their best with what they had.
The entire theatre was either cringing or laughing. A couple sitting next to me even left halfway through (and I completely understood why).
So here comes the big question: should you watch it in theatres?
For the plot? Definitely not.
Then why did I go, you may ask? Because Harsh seems like a genuinely good person, and I just wanted to support him. If that’s something you relate to, go support him.
But in all honesty, it’s not a good movie — at least not in the way it intended to be.
If you enjoy a bit of “so bad it’s good” kind of entertainment, it’s fine for a one-time watch and a few laughs. Otherwise, you’re not missing out on much.
