Here's the thing about After Life, it gets you when you don't expect it. One minute I'm watching Gervais swear like a sailor, insult his friends, and try to cope with his own sense of death. The next minute I'm sobbing on the couch saying "goodnight". The writing is phenomenal, the jokes witty, and the characters so scarily real you can see yourself in each of them. Fantastic show and absolutely worth the watch.
