Played on PS4. This game is an absolute slog most of the time, and not in a traditional MMO grind sort of way. It feels like a beta for an MMO in the 2000's, but even that makes it sound more fun than it actually is.
Crafting, fishing, gathering materials, etc. is all half-baked. The economy of the game is seemingly driven by how little people want to do these things, so they will shell out premium currency to buy ores and potions from people who suffer through it if you're looking for a way to buy strong gear early on.
Leveling through quests is not enough, and leveling by mobbing enemies is limited by how enemies are limited to a small area to remain aggro in, so even if you are moving along and getting stronger gear at a decent pace eventually you will hit a wall where you don't meet the level requirements to do something you could solo relatively easily (the Gnoll Triumvirate at level 17 being the first one - it's easy to reach that point and still be ~level 14). There are others later on.
Game runs absolutely awful on PS4, with the Market and NPCs or crafting stations in general being the worst offenders. Scrolling up or down in the Market drops FPS to 0, sometimes for several seconds, sometimes causing a bluescreen. NPCs and crafting stations (along with level geometry, etc.) can take a long time to load in, meaning you stand around waiting to complete a quest, teleport, make potions, etc.
The combat is okay, but pretty limited if you have any MMO experience. You can't customize your moveset beyond switching between "Blessings" for your class, which only changes the 3-4 skills you can use. You have combos you can do and some static secondary techniques that stay the same between blessings, but the often lack in crowd control or are too lengthy to effectively use against stun/stagger immune enemies without taking hits yourself.
Maybe this game will be better on PC, but if you're on console, I would avoid it.
