TLDR: A cute, feel-good, short game that's easy for anyone to play.
I'll start by saying that I got this game for free. You play as a person who came to a magical island full of friendly animals, people, and anthros. You're there to run a cat cafรฉ that was given to you by your aunt. You basically have to save the island by doing quests for the people who live there which unlocks the other areas of the magical star-shaped island.
The positives for me were that this is just a really cute, aesthetic, relaxing game. There's no grind and there's really nothing difficult about it, so it's something you can enjoy at the end of a long day, just listening to relaxing music, petting cute animals and riding giant cats, ferrets, and even a red panda! There's a lot of customization options and if you like dress-up games then I think you'd definitely enjoy that aspect of this. They're very inclusive as far as skin tones and body types go and the game has LGBT characters. You also get to decorate your cafรฉ and loft however you want and can customize furniture colors, though there's not a ton of options for different furniture, it's definitely enough for what this game is.
The downsides I think are mostly preference. This isn't a difficult or challenging game by any means and most of it is just running back and forth between characters to complete quests. Though there are friendship levels for characters, it doesn't seem to make much of a difference how many hearts they have for you. They also have very few quests each and I actually completed the game within two days, only playing a couple hours each day. If you didn't spend time customizing you could probably beat this game in a couple of hours. Though everything is very cute, nothing has much depth. You can't go into any buildings aside from a couple shops in town, an arcade that you can't play any games in, your own shop, and a witch's shop. The towns are very bare-bones and the graphics are very simplistic. While its very cute aesthetically, it's very basic and there's not much to it overall.
Aside from preference, the mechanics can be a little weird at times. I think the ragdoll physics are funny but some of the small things like placing furniture, cooking, etc can feel a little weird. There are a couple of bugs though I wouldn't say any of them are game breaking, they can be annoying. For instance, there are potions to change your appearance. I used one that changed my hair and eyes, then used one that just changed my hair but my eyes remained the same as the first potion made them. To undo potions you're just supposed to use them again, but since my hair was changed, reusing the first potion only changed my hair to that potion color and turned my eyes back to normal, which made it so that I had to either have my hair a weird color or my eyes a weird color. I think restarting the game fixed it though. They're small bugs like that that I encountered, so nothing major but just small annoyances.
Overall this game is cute and relaxing and is definitely worth a play if you like this type of game. If you aren't into this style of game though then I don't think you'll enjoy it and you should save your money. If you're on the fence, get it on sale if you can!
