All style, no substance. I was really looking forward to this one but after the 10th montage and scene with one liners, it was pretty clear this is just a surface level music video. Don’t expect any character development or narrative. It glossed over all the intricacies of his life in favor of flashy spectacles. Actually reminded me a lot of suicide squad in that way. I think most scenes last 10 seconds or less. This movie is probably great for die hard fans that already know his life story but I learned nothing more about Elvis than I would have just watching one of his concerts. None of his struggles or motivations are really explored in any depth.
