I have read all the books twice and watched series 1 to 5 several times and this film needed to be more detailed
and longer. Uhtred didn't die in the books and I was disappointed at the end.
I loved series 1 to 3 and the characters involved but as it went away from the books it became harder to accept.
Still thoroughly enjoy the acting and loved the battle scenes. Pity it wasn't Steapa leading the charge at the end as he does in the book. Will miss this epic series and the characters but will watch it all again and read the books again.
