This version is better than the 1998 version with Lindsay Lohan. That one isn’t bad but this 1961 version is just better. I think it’s probably a bit longer, the other feels a little rushed, this version’s cast is also just unbeatable.

Ehhhh it very OK. It’s no Anne of Green Gables. For one thing I don’t think they cast the child actors very well. They aren’t really good, sweet, likable children characters like Megan Follows or Melissa Gilbert when they were young actors. The child actors or their characters are just dull. The adults are cast better but I found it mostly boring and not as sweet and heartwarming and funny as Anne of Green Gables or Little House on the Prairie. There are a couple of good episodes. The one where Rachel has a bad tooth is good, but it’s not a really great show. Try a few before you buy the season.

I like the show a lot. I really don’t care for the sister Mindy at all. I don’t care for the character and I think the actress is doing a poor job. That character/actress isn’t funny at all. I hope they either replace Pamela Adlon with a different actress or cut the part of the sister. Obviously they need to replace Linda but they need to add someone great. I feel like they should introduce a rival of Nathan Lane. Someone to bounce his comedy off of. The other 2 guys on the show are good but they’re no where near as good of comedians as Nathan Lane. I wish Melissa Peterman could come on as Matt Bomers sister and maybe Nathan Lane hates her and Matt Bomers character is stuck in the middle.

Even the rock couldn’t save this movie. It’s very OK. Possibly worth 1 watch. Maybe not.
