I just watched an episode of Expedition Files on the Amityville Horror house, Spontaneous Human
Combustion and the civil war. The part on solving human combustion was a joke. The explanation that the lady gave was not believable. First, she never explained why, if the body slowly burned
for at least 2 hours, did the chair or anything else in the house she was in not burn? She said the
victimโs partial leg and foot with slipper did not burn as like a candle, the fire did not burn horizontally. If this is so, why did part of the womanโs leg burn and why did her other leg completely burn? Her answers made no sense.
I can not believe Josh Gates wants us to believe that this lady has solved the answer to
Spontaneous Human Combustion.
I was very disappointed that Josh Gates put his name on something that seemed like a case of
bad investigative journalism. Josh Gates always came across as an upstanding reliable researcher, something hard to find in the world of television these days. I hope this episode
was just a one time bad decision on his part.
