To start off the review I’d like to share the fact that I’m a huge fan of the original Charmed, I’ve also created a lot of fans just by sharing my love for the original show and cast with others. That being said, I’m very disappointed in the reboot. It saddens me to hear some of the original cast not agree with how the directors went about the reboot and didn’t even try to involve them. The reboot honestly irritates me as it doesn’t go along with the original show what so ever, I feel like they should’ve changed the name completely and created a different plot. Like Alyssa Milano had said in an interview, I feel like the directors were shooting for pleasing the newer generation rather than maintaining the authenticity of the original show. I was quite excited when seeing advertisements for the reboot and was really hoping they would’ve involved the original cast in some way but the fact they didn’t turns me off to watching the reboot. Seeing how much they’re trying to please their newer generation audience rather than pleasing the original fans is quite upsetting. The friggin manner isn’t even the same house!! Like what the heck!! The directors took pieces of what they wanted in the show and left some of the best parts out. Prue, Piper, Phoebe and Paige will always be the Charmed ones in my eyes. These wannabes are a joke and honestly if you were a fan of the original show, don’t waste your time.
