The stark contrast of the old residents and the incomers is frightening at times. You don't end up liking anyone, just left with a feeling that the working class has been so let down by successive Governments. Against the backdrop of the referendum and the Grenfell fire the film highlights desperate inequality, materially and in education and expectation. Zed Nelson's film achieves a subtle balance. Progress or simply change has always affected communities, I was left thinking that the change affected by the WWII bombers was in some way probably kinder than this. A film whose importance and relevance can only grow.
