For those who say Season 2 isn't as good, I am honestly baffled! It expands on the Recruiter (brilliant acting by Gong Yoo 🥰) and provides different POVs on the snipers working for the game. It sets out a logical path for how Gi-Hun (the main protagonist) got back onto the island, not to mention the games are fantastic, as well as the player cast (I didn't realize it was Park Sung-hoon at first!). The only thing that dampened the show, in my opinion, is the funny thug character played by Jeon Seok-ho -- he tries to come off as goofy but it just doesn't sit well. I rather his boss survived 😬 Either way, it's a damn good show, solid 10/10, and I cannot wait for Season 3.

Initial excitement quickly gave way to disappointment as the series progressed. While the first few episodes were exciting, halfway through the series just melted into mediocrity, with games devoid of intellect and relying solely on sheer, dumb luck, like the die-rolling game. Even the 'test' to advance to the finale was chance-based and could easily be rigged by the organizers. And oh my, the finale, what were the producers thinking? A Rock-Paper-Scissors game to choose from a multitude of keys to open a safe was just extremely boring. The only redemption is the Circle of Trust game. This really left me comparing game shows produced in the East and West. Don't watch "The Devil's Plan" before watching this. Actually, just watch The Devil's Plan and skip this.
