Do any of these 5 star reviews seem fake? That's because they are. Bloody awful movie. I don't understand how presumably smart people could have invested their money in such a crap film. What was Ridley Scott thinking? Was he thinking?? If you go into this with very low expectations, then you may only be moderately disappointed, as it will fail to meet even basic expectations such as a coherent plot, believable characters or enjoyable storytelling. Everyone I went with was surprised at how rubbish it was.

I won't give a detailed review because it's all already been said by others. Parts of the game are great, there must be a lot of designers and staff who did a great job with atmosphere and animation and elements of gameplay. But, the obvious agenda of the writers/directors, unlikeable protagonists and weak character development makes it not worth buying. Seeing characters from the amazing original game, who people have become attached to, be unceremoniously and graphically killed off is a tough pill to swallow. I'd rather not imagine being in such a world.
