The turn base combat definitely takes away from the fun you would have in previous Yakuza games. I regret buying this game. The combat sucks! I love to smash buttons to let out some steam. You can't do that in this game. I don't think I will buy another Yakuza game if they keep is rpg turn based bs in there. Such a shame. This would have been as good as Yakusa Zero especially on the ps5. Overall I would avoid this game

Now this is real game! For hardcore, seasoned gaming veterans. Yes it is very hard, but that’s what makes your victories more rewarding. You have to be patient and PERSISTANT!. Combat is amazing and very precise. You will get punished if you try to spam. You have to feel each opponent and learn from each fight. Then you have to apply and adjust your strategy accordingly. So that means, NO mindless button mashing! It has a slow start, but it takes off mid-point till end. It tells a compelling and emotional story. There are no maps in this game. You really have to use your head if you want to beat it. Luckily there is lots of help & tips online if you get stuck. Good luck! GAME OF THE YEAR

Story is uninteresting. Too many broken plot points and uninteresting new characters. Gameplay is not innovative enough from the prequel. Terrible waste of money. Destroyed the story of an amazing game.
