Don't get me wrong; I love The Inbetweeners and the first film, but the second film definitely takes a step-down. The first thing that is annoying is that this whole film in general isn't necessary. The first film ended perfectly and while a sequel would be nice, it kind of defeats the purpose of the first film. You could've watched the second film after the series and it would make sense. Also, it just doesn't really hit the same as the comedy in the series and I think most scenes in this film are mostly done for shock humour. The plot with Will and Katie was really boring to watch for me and the only good scenes really were just with the four boys. One thing I will credit this film for is for the scene where they are stranded on a desert without any water sources or food. It was very hard-hitting and interesting to watch. I never thought The Inbetweeners would provoke this feeling because they focus more on comedy, but it still fit in pretty well. But one thing that is annoying about this, is how they made us think they would all die. I mean, I think that's a bit extreme. Mostly the reason why I think this film didn't succeed as well as the show and first film is because it doesn't really capture the same comedy as well. That doesn't mean there aren't any funny parts, but most of it is pretty unfunny.

As someone who is obsessed with The Inbetweeners, I would argue that this film is a bit of a step-down from the series, although I still like it and recommend it to others. If there were to only be this instead of a series before, I probably would only see it as an alright film and would not think much of it. One thing I find interesting about this film is that somehow they completely altered the main focus that the series had and changed it mostly to romance and yet still made it fit in and just feel like a long episode. Though this does focus on lots of comedy and cringey moments, the ending makes it feel like it was mainly centered around love and that isn't a bad thing; it's nice to see a happy ending. Because the ending was so perfect, it was pointless for there to be a sequel. Other than this, it's genius. The only downside is that there were many deleted scenes that probably should've been kept in.

Fantastic! Never seen anything like it. It's so relatable and perfectly resembles teenage boys in their school years and the actors who portray them don't look like they're in their 30s. It might genuinely be my favourite show. Also, the overall comedy is genius. If you were to ask someone what their favourite scene was from this show, they would take a while to think. And all of the characters are brilliantly-written and most viewers of the series would most likely of at some point of their school years know someone similar to the characters in this series.
