Look, I was a huge dog man fan and when I saw the trailer, I was pretty hyped. I've been waiting and waiting to watch the film for so long. Once it came out on Peacock, I went to go watch it for myself and.... it was absolutely BORING and WHACK. Look, I know all movies aren't accurate to the books and I don't mind it but some of the stuff goes on so fast that I can't even process it at all. The opening was probably one of the most rushed openings of all time and it WAS also very lame and rushed. First they go on a chase with petey then suddenly it's on the news then Greg and the cop get harmed by a bomb and then it all happens so quick. I seriously could not process what was even going on. The movie is also incredibly dark, sad, and depressing. Little Petey was incredibly annoying, in the books he's slightly annoying in a good way but little petey is incredibly annoying and pointless, he should've at least been in the 3rd movie if it even happens. There will most likely be a sequel and they could have potential to make it better than the first movie. Especially since they made lots of money from the movie. I don't really see the creators making it for money but for kids. The only reason the movie gor 5 stars was only because little kids enjoy it and they ofc don't care what's going on in the movie. Would I recommend this movie to anyone? Well if you're a little kid who loves anything, go head. If you're a big true dog man fan like me, I wouldn't but some will still enjoy it Overall, the movie was really pointless, boring, depressing and it was such a disappointment. The animation is what bothers me the most,it hards to watch and why couldn't they have done it like the captain underpants movie? The captain underpants movie was so much better and entertaining. But yea, disappointing and don't watch.
