Morally bankrupt. Dostoevsky wrote that if God does not exist everything is permitted.

A funny and touching movie that offers the hope that love and a healthy portion of a truth-centered forgiveness can find a way to heal some pretty deep wounds in a relationship.

This movie is an unmitigated disaster. I went to see it today (Friday) and thought it was Saturday when it finally went into its death rattle. The movie is dripping with gratuitous gore. There’s not a socially redeeming character in any of the men. How so much acting and other artistic talent agreed to take part in this farce is a testament to P.T. Barnum. This movie is about as close to Shakespeare’s Hamlet as Bugs Bunny. Instead of buying a movie ticket just throw your money out a window.

A terrific movie. Funny and soul-touching, with tribute songs for the ages. And it’s greater than the sum of its parts. It dares to claim that life’s meaning is not found in fame and two houses in Malibu.
