I don't usually make reviews but I felt that I had to for this movie... I found it to be a truly beautiful film and the message was significant.
I can understand where some of the confusion is coming from, but ultimately this could be solved with a quick google search.
For those familiar with Abel's story, the film resonated so deeply. This story ended with what every single one of us wants to see- hope and light at the end of the tunnel.
As "The Weeknd" is destroyed, the significance of the burning of the bed, combined with the absolutely beautiful lyrics of "Hurry Up Tomorrow" did not go unnoticed, and I walked away being so happy at the hope in his eyes at the end.
"Hurry Up Tomorrow" (the song) is a fabulous work of art and will make me tear up every single time. As for the film, I am so satisfied with it, and I can't wait to rewatch again.
Last note- I was pleased at the level of acting. Abel is truly gifted and I hope he keeps going with film.
For those who watched and didn't enjoy- please try again!! Knowing the history of the Weeknd is almost crucial to fully enjoy this film, so I encourage everyone to familiarize themselves and then give it another shot.
Again, such a great movie, and a truly satisfying way to watch the story of The Weeknd end. ❤️
