To be fair, we stopped watching it 32 minutes in. The plot felt like it was going no where and there was only one hour left.
Starts off with a girl who loses her mom to cancer (which seems like the start of most movies these days). The girl sees two imaginary creatures hanging around her grandma's apartment while her dad is in the hospital for what he says is surgery and that he's going to be okay.
She starts to follow Ryan Reynolds character who has snuck into a young girl's bedroom while she is asleep to find out how the imaginary friend is doing. In the next scene he has brought the main character Bea back to his apartment after she passed out. He mentions that she has been there before, but no real discussion around that.
The movie was a whole lot of waiting for nothing real or exciting to happen. My kids and I gave up at 32 minutes because it was just too boring to continue. Not sure who the audience was meant to be here.
