Ok.. so here is my thoughts on Twisters. 28 years ago I took my then girlfriend who I have now have been married to for 27 years to our very first date to see Twister back in 1996. That movie was Incredible. Bill Paxton and Helen Hunt nailed that film. It was a huge box office hit and we both loved it. Today we saw Twisters. The film was great. The first act was a tad bit over the top with over the top acting and cheesy dialogue… but I’m happy to say it does redeem itself halfway through the second act. It does play homage to the first movie and does a great job with action sequences. The effects were great and the story line does get better after the second act. I give it an 8 out of 10. It misses the mark just a little due to the script being a little over the top in the beginning.
