Overall verdict is that the film was generally enjoyable. A few people have mentioned plot armor and I would second that. It's frustrating to watch a lackey who is nonetheless a trained soldier basically get touched and have his head explode, then moments later have a main character get full force punched by a 12 foot tall 600 lb predator and just get right back up. The third character (Torres) is also very frustrating. The comic relief didn't land with me at all, and it turned a summary of the film from "Three warriors battle predators across time and space" to "two ancient warriors and a lucky TBI victim stumble their way through this sci-fi thriller."
