Well it arrived today, much anticipated having heard the "snippets" of money. When I first listened to DSOTM at the age of 16, it was in a darkened room with a joint.....having matured somewhat, the darkened room was not necessary........ From the start this offering is not a copy, it is one man's recreation of a masterpiece, i have to say thank you to Dave Gilmour, Nick Mason, Richard Wright and Roger Waters for the absolutely fantastic DSOTM but Roger you have created a version that celebrates the original, if only Richard was alive to hear it. Everything about it is brilliantly put together, the introduction of additional instruments, vocals, poetry and narration are excellent, you could almost imagine a film. I say bloody well done....!!!
