I find it hard to believe that no one knocked him in the head with a pipe. LaSonia’s husband was a coward for stopping her from intervening/ not intervening himself. The racism was unnecessary but predictable. The singing was nice, but a little random. The best part was when Willadean shot her husband, he was a trailer trash Ike Turner. All in All, there wasn’t really a storyline. The main character tries to become something and gets beat, then she shoots the husband when she’s had enough, plus the unnecessary sexual scenes we’re off putting .I don’t recommend.
