We hardly find people like Satyaprem or his mother these days, and we often find people like Tapan waiting at every corner to ruin a simple girl's life and act as if nothing happened. The Kathas who cannot share their true stories because of the fear that nobody will believe them, or if they do then they'll look down upon, judging her character rather than understanding the pain and supporting her. The movie throws light on how a man should play a role in his wife's or even his female friend's life, his mindset for getting physical and being ready to stay virgin his entire life if that's something that gives comfort to his wife, how to stand up for the right thing rather than playing a diplomat or staying quiet or supporting others who are wrong, how to take a step for his wife and be a supporting pillar in her life, encourage her to be the hero of her own life, how big of a character he needs to have. The movie shows how our society actually needs to be for a girl. Even the song "aaj ke baad" says "hojaegi ab Teri vidayi phir bhi nahi hogi tu parayi" which emphasizes on the strength that a girl should have knowing she has her family by her side and she is not paraya dhan. Great movie because of the mindset portrayed here. We need to emphasize these things in the movie which I think got cornered. Not just a romantic movie. It's a life lesson how things need to be.
