Watchdog need to get their facts right and offer up to date advice. On the "One Show" March 10th 2021, they advised people to be aware of buying a dog from a scammer, good intention, yes, BUT they completely fail to mention that it is now illegal to sell even one puppy without a council licence. To obtain a breeding licence, responsible breeders have to have their premises inspected and abide by correct and tough obligations relating to the puppy and its Mothers health and welfare. If websites only accepted adverts from licensed breeders and people only bought from those Licensed Breeders than no one would get scammed and the puppies would be healthier and happier gong to caring homes.
