HOLY WOW! WHAT AN AMAZING MOVIE! I love the message about choosing between the friendship that improves your social skills or presuming what you want in life that would get you to succeed. I also love how the creators put more meaning into the movie by bringing people together instead of blowing them and things up. Developing more meaning in movies makes audiences think about society and their personal lives and the influences that shaped them. Additionally, I was so so so outstood by Jack Dylan Grazer as Alberto Scorfano as he fully embodied the transformative character. Alberto is my favorite character because he’s enthusiastic to explore the human world. He is 14-years-old who is a free-spirited, expressive, and gregarious boy who likes to have fun who dreams of having a friend because he is lonely. He also gets into mischief but begins to change as he shows his love for his mentor, Massimo Marcovaldo, Giulia’s father who has a soft heart. Alberto can relate to me because I am also expressive and I love having fun and like to respect others. But I am lonely because in full truth I don’t have any friends because nobody doesn’t seem to be interested in me but I hope that one day someone will become interested and be my friend. What I like most about Jack is that has this voice that always makes me what to laugh and smile because his voice sounds so encouraging. Also, I was so enjoyed by Jacob Tremblay as Luca Paguro as he also fully embodied the transformative character. Luca’s 13-years-old has a very active imagination of new wonders. He is also curious about the human world too and would like to explore it. I was also very enjoyed by Giulia Marcovaldo performed by Emma Berman. Giulia is compassionate to Luca and Alberto and is helpful. She encourages and loves learning so she can succeed. She is determined and is a mentor mostly to Luca because he’s more curious about the world than Alberto. What I also loved about this movie is Pixar set this story in Portorosso, Italy where people love to swim, eat pasta, and bike which is a big part of Italian culture which is creative! What I also really love about this movie was the crew put a lot of Italian vocabulary. Even in the words, they posted in this movie! Let me tell you the secret of learning languages. The secret is not knowing what languages mean. It’s about how they sound! Even though I don't know what a lot of Italian words mean, they just sound so creative and beautiful when speaking, reading, singing, and playing the music of it! That’s what makes Italian vocabulary so special! I was just so intrigued that all the songs were Italian with Italian singers! They just sounded just like angels! Cultures make us stronger, more creative, more inspired. All these sounds and differences make the world a richer place. If we deny our differences that is denying the truth of who we are. When looking at the music score I loved all the songs because they are all just too good to pinpoint which one is the best. This movie has friendship, languages, acceptance, and self-confidence. Luca, Alberto, and Giulia place these on their adventures to achieve their goals and maintain what they love and they show Portorosso and the sea monsters what they can achieve when they embrace their differences and celebrate what makes them a community. My family and I will carry on this message to the end of time. Thank you Pixar Studios for the astounding movie! Please keep making more films that focus on heartfelt messages which bring people together by accepting differences and hearing stories that go unnoticed.
