Please don't watch this movie. This movie has been made like an extended youtube video with acting that is between borderline scrap and psychotic. There seems to be a lot of research on "sensational" rape cases in India but has no semblance with legal jurisprudence or practice. There is incessant badgering of witness, misleading and speculative line of questioning but, no objections from defence lawyer or presiding judge. The acting is just shameless and the direction is juvenile at best.

I had tears in my eyes throughout this movie... thinking of all the crap we are forced to watch in the name of Bollywood cinema and Hindi movie entertainment. I am sure all those who watched this movie cried just like I did...and all those who are unlucky to watch it on Netflix, will also have tears in their eyes.

A simpleton's mind decided to make a movie without the use of common sense. From the get go, the movie shows exactly how the CBI or other law enforcement agencies of the country work...zero use of common sense, fixation on suspect, use of excessive force, and all other psychological concepts which make up for good studies but not movies. The movie tries to relate to a few western concepts and infamous names but offers no connection or resemblance of logic as to why such names were mentioned. There is a serious lack of understanding on the suspected serial killer failing even to identify something as basic as the motive for the murders.

Found this book in the Jet Airways library section back in Nov 2001. The library was a collection of books- forgotten on their seats or left behind by fliers- and never reclaimed. I read it from cover to cover in a matter of days. It gave me an immediate and upfront education of the historic, cultural, educational, political, religious and socio-dynamic scenario of my native Mangalore, Dakshina Kannada district. I learnt about Tonse Madhva Anantha Pai (TMA Pai) and his all out efforts at promoting education through institution building in D. K and Udupi districts. I learnt about his Pai relatives who founded and revolutionized the banking sector in India... (Canara Bank, Syndicate Bank, Corporation Bank and Vijaya Bank- all born in DK district and nationalized in 1969/1980).
Selden Menefee- I believe is an Australian biographer who painstakingly recorded the Pai family journey and its contribution to putting Mangalore/ DK on the global map. Made me proud... I hope I find this book again. So that I can read it once again and become proud once again. Thank you.
