I have read all the Dune books and thought the first movie was far superior to this sequel. This movie storyline moved at an excruciatingly slow pace and should have been a two hour movie. While the scenery was stunning, the dialogue was stunted and there was excessive, gratuitous violence that detracted from the story. The movie ending was different from the books and disappointing.
