I thought it was really good actually, felt like a combo between sinister and nightmare on elm st kinda vibe for me. Its obv different from the first one cause the guy is dead and the kid isnt abducted in his basement but I thought they did a great job of tying in a tone from the first movie and essentially wrapping up any lose ends you could have in the story from the first one as well
