When a movie gives you goosebumps, it makes you swallow dry, surprises you, scares you, despairs you, distresses you, makes you sad, makes you cry, suffer and gives you a little hope, it is because it’s a good film. Sam Mendes manages to walk you through all the emotions with 1917, while telling a crude and brutal story of the First World War, with an impeccable direction, a cinematography that can not be more spectacular and a musicalization that fits perfectly in every moment.
