If you go into this game expecting the first one, then play the first one. The Last of Us is my favorite game of all time and The Last of Us Part 2, in my opinion, is not as good as the first one, nor is it the first game. What naughty dog did was take on a challenge and successfully so. Its ironic that The same people who are giving it ones are actually empathizing and just as angry as Ellie. The gameplay of part 2 surpasses the first game, adding new ways to sneak, new weapons, and news ways to utilize the environment with some less than thought provoking puzzles. Gameplay 9/10 The story is effective and extremely gut wrenching making you feel the anger and revenge the characters share. Objectively speaking this is a good story. However, if you are a closed minded individual this game may not be for you. If you are someone who does not like change or challenging stories, I urge you to play this game with an open mind. It is far from perfect and the story can drag at some points but the game is made with the purest intentions of making art.
