This marvelous film of the early Swedish silent era really tells you why films hold the power of emotion. Victor Sjostrom, the great director, and actor painted a great picture through this film. This picture talks about regret, agony, love, kindness, and eventual death. But what if you could talk to death and amend your doings? The fantasy in this film teaches you something that you may think about yourself and the course of action your life has taken. Tremendous special effects for the time, Victor wants to make you feel how the afterlife can exist in the living and if life is not lived rightly, regret follows you to your grave, and that is what this film sheds the light on. I find myself lucky to have watched this film.
