This movie is absolutely terrible. It is one drawn out cliche after another for 2 full hours. The actors and characters are poorly developed so you never really care about what is happening to them. A lot of the transitions between scenes I think are supposed to be “artistic” or something but it just doesn’t work and makes the movie hard to follow. I understood the general plot but a lot of the specifics were impossible to follow. I rewinded several parts a number of times and still didn’t understand certain things. And in case your thinking you want to watch it for uplifting theme of humanity uniting and different cultures working together for the common good, do yourself a favor and don’t see this movie. There is no profound theme here. Or in case you want to watch this movie simply because you like science fiction and cool ideas like the earth becoming a spaceship, still, don’t watch it. Most of the movie is a bunch of drawn out, unnecessary drama happening to characters you will feel nothing for because the character development and acting is so bad. The two or three shots of earth colliding with Jupiter are not worth it. Even though that sounds really cool, you’d think it would be hard to mess that up, but they did. Just don’t.
