Five Nights at Freddy's has been one of my passions for seven or eight years. Upon watching the movie, it wasn't expecting much. Now, I have high hopes for the next movie.
To start, the actors for this movie were amazing. Everyone did great expressing different emotions, and it all seemed very realistic. Salutations to those who acted in the movie!
The animationics looked amazing! They captured the smallest details, like Bonnie not having eyebrows. The pizzaria also looked incredible. It all looked very similar to what Scott showed in the games, with a few extra touches that were just amazing. They also did a fantastic job explaining the springlocks.
The biggest issue I had with the movie itself was the lore to the movie. It was so uncanon I almost cried when Vanessa said she was the daughter of William Afton. I mean, in the games, Michael, "Abby", and "Garrett" were all Afton's children. That really pissed me off. The entire storyline didn't connect to the games and had little connection it the books. But, however, it was the tiniest but accurate to the actual games. It had some nice easter eggs, like showing what I assume to be the Ella Doll from 1:35 AM as a springlock suit and making mentions to other characters. Overall, really messed with my brain.
The worst scene in the movie was the springlock failure. It was so horrible, and I thought it would be scary, so much to the point I almost had a seizure with anticipation. But, really? That was lame. All it really did was puncture him, with absolutely no bone crunches whatsoever. Just metal moving and skin breaking. The amount of blood shown was mediocre- this is a horror film, right? The part we're Mike found the bodies of that babysitter and the others was scarier; way more gore, it showed a half eaten face. The response the William had to the springlocks was also hilariouslu horrible. You would've thought there would be screaming in agony as his body got punctured, bones were crushed, organs were stabbed. Nope. Just a mediocre gasp.
But overall, the movie was fantastic. Great job to everyone who worked on the movie, I'll definitely rewatch this in the future and be on the lookout of the next films!
