im giving it two stars cuz i like Miranda but overall this book was arguably even worse then book 2. life as we knew it is my favorite book ever and i was so excited to find out there were sequels but now i wish i had just stopped after the first one. the book starts out pretty good but it is ruined by the addition of ALEX. i have genuinely never hated a fictional character as much as i hate him. he is bossy, sexist, and so so full of himself. i spent the whole time desperately hoping he would be killed off in some violent way. his behavior is arguably even worse then in the dead and the gone. the worst part is the way this idiot influenced miranda, who is (or was, at least) a compelling character. the way she pines after this awful human being almost feels satirical. half of the writing towards the end of the book is just painfully cheesy descriptions of how in love they are, despite the fact that there is ZERO chemistry between them. he has her doing and saying things that she never would have agreed with in the first book and over all it feels like she gets less mature by the end. to wrap this up, if you enjoyed the first book, i would stop reading this about three quarters of the way through (thats when it gets REALLY bad) and then violently rip it to shreds.
