I adored the first series, and Nocturne, while flawed, did not dissapoint. Right off the bat, the animation and character designs are wonderful, and the concept is there, however the writing fell somewhat short. The characters were all presented with interesting potential (Yes, even Annette. She's a good character, yall are just racist). But none of them felt as fleshed out as the characters in the original series, probably because of how short Nocturne was. If there is a second season, hopefully more characters interactions will be expanded upon. There were also times where the plot felt rushed and a bit random. Which was the main flaw, not the fact that they made Annette black and an important character, or the fact that Richter is not a clone of Trevor.
