This was my first time reading either of the authors’ writings. The authors’ notes at the end (audiobook) clued me in on how the story was woven together and what each author brought to the novel. That said, I loved so much about this novel. For the suspense, the education (so enlightening on a subject I have wanted to learn more about), the emotion—it was beautiful. My only criticism was the ending…felt rushed and insufficient given the life changing experience of Asher. I wanted more justice for both he and Lily. And I might like more closure for Ava and Olivia. With that said, for everything else mentioned above, my disappointment about the ending doesn’t downgrade my 5 star review.
