One of the albums of my life!!! It’s a really sad album for me, because I based my current relationship on Miley and Liam, it started about the same time and we have had many breaks, like Miley and Liam, but Muddy Feet has me wanting to confront him. It’s making me feel stronger. More badass and confident. I love psyche rock, and Handstand is instantly a theme song for me. So dope. Along those lines I think the whole album is sonically so dope. Rose Colored Lenses… I wear rose colored glasses almost daily! Obviously River is one of the sexiest songs out there. And no profanity! I was really surprised to see her use “curse” words so thoughtfully on this album. Going back to Muddy Feet, which I have heard people say is juvenile and immature, but I think it’s empowering. It’s a great use of the eff bomb. Violet Chemistry is a new obsession of mine and it’s already my number one played song easily this year. I’m scared to play it out because it t brings me much joy! I think Mike Will and Miley have violet chemistry in the studio, and they are one of the magical collaborations of our generation, I think in the same league as Aaron Dessner and Taylor Swift. Wonder Woman isn’t getting much love, and ballads are so tricky, but I felt all the levels and I think it is very special to her and you can tell how emotional it makes her feel. She captured that so well in the album. I think people are going to love You, and I do too. I happen to like this production on this album, I think it ties well into the sound of the album and it goes pretty seamless into Handstand. I think Brandi Carlisle is criminally underused, but I think it’s intentional, and I can appreciate that. I just love Brandi so much so I wanted to hear them really rock out.
