People review bombing the game, but it's been a solid and fun experience even if its not origins. Edit: After playing the game I am bringing the review down to a 3. Do I think the game deserves all the 1's its getting No. But after a 10 year wait this is not the game I think any DA fan was expecting. Sometimes the story moments were really good and compelling. Then others felt like a Disney movie/sitcom. The ending I felt was satisfying, but to get there was mostly a slog with a few exceptions. Combat was also a mess at times with the number of enemies on screen and animations taking place. While I don't mind a 3rd person action combat I liked how DAI let players choose how they wanted to go into combat instead of forcing them one way. Story choices also didn't really matter in the end with there really only being 3 story affecting decisions which even when looking at DAI is so little for a RPG and really does make it feel more like a movie where you already know how its going to go. I hope they make a follow up game as I do love the DA world and I want them to redeem themselves after the development hell this game went through....but at the same time if they don't then I can't exactly cry over it. All the articles about BIOWARE returning to form is crap. They got closer to where they were in some sense, but ultimately I worry for the Mass Effect Fans next if this game is what they call good story writing I can only imagine what MA5 will be.
