Angela Palsrok

As a woman who is preferential to action films, I thought this was a great concept. Initially, I was confused about what time period the film was set in, because the costumes and sets evoke a noir vibe. I loved the library-centric theme, and recognized the subtle nudge to women to stay educated and empowered. I am a fan of all the OG cast: Carla Gugino, Angela Bassett and Michelle Yeoh, like an action queen trifecta!!! Overall, it’s a good watch, and I enjoyed it. The violence, IMO, is strong but almost cartoon-y; still, it’s not a movie for kids.
