being kinda generous with my rating here. this is the first kdrama ive ever felt… meh, about. tbf, i’m new to kdramas! but this one wasn’t as good as other stuff on netflix. for starters, the first 4 or 5 episodes were great! i was swooning and totally hooked. giggling and squealing. but afterwards, it all just kinda went downhill. with the introduction of the female main lead’s ex, the story become tough to sit through. i didn’t find that particular plot line interesting, and it didn’t seem to deepen the main couple’s connection at all. in fact, the main couples connection is very lacking. just as it seemed like they were getting closer, this ex character showed up and everything kinda became stagnant. as for the female lead’s actor, i dont know if it was because of the writing or her skill, but it was hard to believe her character had any feelings for the male lead at all. any feelings she did show felt somewhat random. i loved the male lead. i thought he was cute, handsome and funny, and i enjoyed watching his character arc. i enjoyed the other side characters as well. this kdrama just felt too short, not in a good way. it felt like it needed more time to really convey it’s story. the episodes are short (in kdrama standards) and there’s only 10 episodes total. by the time i got to episode 8… i was annoyed. i felt like things were being a bit rushed. the main couple lacked any depth - which is fine, not every kdrama needs it. it’s just that this one suffered without it. the main couple seemed cute enough, but by the end they failed to convince me they really loved each other. it has a good setup and premise, and some cute and funny moments (it made me laugh out loud - which never happens like, ever!) and some pretty good acting. it’s not the worst thing ever by any means. if this kdrama had more episodes, more chemistry with the main couple, and completely got rid of the ex storyline, i’d rate this much higher. it gets three stars, because i do love the characters (besides the main female lead) and i do like some aspects of it, but unfortunately it failed to captivate me like other kdramas have. my suggestion? watch up until they kiss and then stop. it only gets worse from there lol.
