It's a good show to watch if you want something light, slow, and wholesome. I enjoyed the second season the most. I think Cranford looks at the past with rose tinted glasses, but that's fine. It's a nice fantasy, and most of these shows, like this, do that, and I still enjoy them. It does show how desperate a lot of women were about getting married back then---in the first season. I enjoyed the story about the boy throughout the two seasons the most, though I've already forgotten the boy's name.
