Well, it looks like "The Armageddon Factor" has fizzled out into nothing more than a pointless exercise in alarmism. Should we have called it hate mongering? Would Marci McDonald have the same passion to write a more realistic piece and call it "The Sharia Factor?" That is most unlikely since it is doubtful she would be willing to face the inevitable criminal charges of "hate speech", not to mention the leftist backlash and threats from extremists. Such consequences she never had to worry about before. Isn't this the reason there are hardly any "progressive" journalists out there who have the courage to write anything unflattering about Islam; let alone publish its story and agenda?
As we have done for a long time, we can always criticize, ridicule, vilify and blame the Christian religion for all the world's ills, and we don't get threatened or charged with "hate crime"; but isn't that as it should be for all targets of criticism. Shouldn't they learn to defend themselves with the written and spoken word rather than with death threats or law suits?
