This was a very informative film. I read the criticisms and was surprised at the seeming immature responses of the critics. They needed to keep in mind the purpose of the film and its time limitations. It was made to present their position and inform those who may not be aware of young earth creation arguments. Those arguments in favor of creation were made in a clear and relatively simple way and thus were quite compelling. The film was not made as a debate polemic. While such an argument could have been made, that was not the purpose of the film. The arguments in favor of evolution have been out there for decades now and generations have been exposed to them and are familiar with them. The film wanted to make the point that there is another valid position that many credentialed scientists support. Again, that position was well articulated in the film. To turn the critics' argument around, is it not fair, in their view, to present the evolutionary position without answering arguments of creationists? Is it not arrogant that they do not feel the creationist view merits an answer? Some very compelling points were made in the film but, in stead of answering those arguments, the critics brushed them off or ridiculed them as if anyone, who does not agree with them, is also worthy of ridicule. I read several (not all) of the critical reviews and did not see any serious answers or at least links to answer the validity of the points made in the film.
