This movie was better than I thought it would be! It touched on realistic tones that I did not see coming. Going through the 1-star reviews, many people complained that it was an anti-men movie. That's simply incorrect. You can be pro-women without being anti-men. The film discusses patriarchy and how women are treated and expected to act. It touches on the emotions women have felt throughout history because of expectations and tells us that it is okay to be who we are and that we can do whatever we set our minds to. America Ferrera's monologue made me want to stand and applaud. It's OK not to like a movie because it's not something you're into, but it's not some weird alienating or feminist agenda movie. Anyone who claims that is a walking red flag. I want to watch this movie many more times and will purchase it when it becomes available.
