Trash. Very predictable and all the kills were cheap and extremely avoidable had the characters had some common sense. The mom didn’t do well as a believable single mom character. I do like that it didn’t completely copy the original story as most reboots are doing, but they would have done better just listing this completely separate from the franchise rather than advertising as a chucky movie. I’d probably have had more respect for it if so. More comedy/ technology based than a scary movie. AI being programmed wrong and self learning as revenge for his “best friend”? Relevant to today’s times yes but Very iRobot. Honestly Black mirror would have done better with this as an episode. Little kids could have been watching this movie and not been scared.vl Don’t waste your money, just stream it. I’d give it a 3.5/10.
