Very intriguing show. Binge watched it today. Super performances by Sakshi, Vivek and the rest of the team. It always amazes me how Sakshi is so comfortable looking so simple on screen yet she looks so beautiful.
I loved the series very much. I just had problem with 2 things and that is the only reason for 4 stars.
Spoilers alert: 🔴 (Read if you want)
I had issue with the good cop being a Muslim. If you have chosen REST of the cast (good and mostly bad) as Hindus then choose the cop to be a Hindu as well. It wouldn’t have bothered me as much if he was a subordinate and not the SP as shown. Or some of the bad guys also shown being Muslims.
Other thing was the same cop being in love with a Hindu girl and her knowing that he was married. Even though it was shown that she backed out but it does leave a bad taste. Why do they have to show this? Why can’t these people do without being Hindu phobic, not to mention all the bad guys well most of them carrying Hindu gods’ names and being a homosexual? Why can’t you keep some other Hindu names than Gods’??
I was also bothered by none of the family shown worried at all if their daughter was murdered except of course her mother.
I don’t know why people will give it one star for a mother being raged by her daughter’s murder?? What do you expect, that she should sit and cry? The title suggests the same and I am glad she was raged but calm and strong to take her revenge. She did not kill anyone until almost the end of it. The ones who were killed they were all involved in her daughter’s murder one way or the other. So people saying that she was killing people left and right without thinking, did not watch the same show I did. I am sure lot of these people were ok with Sri Devi killing all the antagonists in Mom. I am not sure what difference does it make? Both of the daughters were wronged and their perpetrators deserved nothing less (especially when the law failed to punish them).
I can not wait to watch the second season. I hope it comes soon because “Mai’s” work is not done yet as it is shown at the end. Her expressions say it all. She Is Not Done!!!
